Halihax February Event: Data Science Edition

Join us for a fireside chat with cofounder of Cohere Ivan Zhang. We will be talking about the role of large language models in society and how Cohere is helping make that a reality by making it easy for developers to use large language models and helping large language models be used in a safe and responsible way. We encourage students, hobbyist, and professionals alike to come and join in creating the most open, and inclusive data science community we can!

This event will be held at Volta's CoWorking space in downtown Kjipuktuk (Halifax). There will be snacks and drinks for everyone.

Ivan Zhang 

CTO & CoFounder @ Cohere 

Ivan Zhang is the CTO and co-founder of Cohere, where he and his team are building developer APIs to solve language problems powered by large language models. Ivan previously founded FOR.ai, an independent AI research lab, and worked at a couple of early stage startups as a founding engineer. Outside of work, Ivan loves photography, League of Legends, and rock climbing.

Domenic Rosati is a Senior Research Scientist at scite.ai His research focuses on natural language understanding and reasoning in scientific texts and how to improve scientific discovery and evaluation with AI.
